German 1A: Einführung: Assignment for Wednesday, 6/18/14.

Begin/continue workbook/lab manual.  Be sure to self-correct the workbook material, using the key at the back of the workbook.  Credit will not be given for uncorrected workbook material.  

(Re) Read pages 1-5.  Review "Das ABC".  Practice spelling words in Akt 6, or names in Akt. 13.   

(re)read and study carefully Hallo! - Mach's Gut and Na, wie geht's? pp. 6-8; study greetings, saying goodby and asking about someone's well being, p. 18.  Review answers to Akt. 7, and Akt. 8, which were done in class. 

Listen to Akt 9, p. 8, 3 x and check correct box Ja/Nein

Read: Landeskunde-Info, pp. 9, 11, 15.  There will be a culture-related question on the tests, based on these readings, which are present in each chapter.    

Study numbers p. 10, be prepared to say your telephone number in German and spell your email address.  Listen to the lab audio, Akt. 9 for number pronunciation.  Do Akt 10, 11, 12 in lab manual to reinforce numbers.    

Read Analyse, p. 10 and answer questions.  Listen to Akt 11, 12 and jot down phone numbers, street numbers.  This will be repeated in class.

Akt 14, Schritt 1: Jot down answers to the questions in the box.  You will then interview a classmate to complete Schritt 2. 

Test on Einfuhrung will be on 6/23.  Complete lab manual/workbook and bring to class to turn in.  You can use this as a study guide, as well as "Das Kann ich nun!", p. 19 (and at the end of each chapter).
